Passports

Passports must be valid for the duration of the intended stay until arrival back in the traveller's country of origin or residence. Visitors must also hold a valid return or onward ticket, have confirmed accommodation and sufficient funds for their stay.

Visas

Seychelles is a visa-free country and visitors of all nationalities do not require a visa. A Visitor's Permit is issued on arrival, normally for up to three months, provided travellers hold a valid passport, return or onward ticket, confirmed accommodation and sufficient funds for their stay.

All visitors must obtain a Seychelles Travel Authorisation before travelling. Applications are made through the Seychelles Electronic Border System or Seychelles e-Border app and require travel and personal information together with supporting documents such as passport details, accommodation confirmation and a return or onward ticket. A processing fee applies, with different processing options available.

The initial Visitor's Permit is issued free of charge. Visitors wishing to remain longer may apply to extend it for additional periods of up to three months, subject to immigration approval and payment of the applicable fee.

Types and Cost

No visa fee applies, but travellers must pay a processing fee for the mandatory Seychelles Travel Authorisation. Fees vary according to the processing option selected.

Validity

Not applicable, as Seychelles does not require visitors to obtain a visa.

Transit

Transit visas are not required. Passengers who need to pass through immigration must meet the normal entry requirements for Seychelles.

Application to

Travellers may apply for the Seychelles Travel Authorisation within 30 days before their scheduled arrival. Applications are submitted online through the Seychelles Electronic Border System or via the Seychelles e-Border app.

Working days

The Seychelles Electronic Border System currently offers three processing speeds for Travel Authorisation: Standard, Premium and Expedited.

Sufficient Funds

Visitors must have sufficient funds to cover the duration of their stay.
