Where to stay in Seychelles
Hotels
Seychelles has a wide range of accommodation, from large international resorts and luxury island retreats to small hotels, guesthouses, self-catering apartments and locally owned establishments. Mahé has the greatest choice, particularly around Beau Vallon and the island's main coastal areas, while Praslin and La Digue offer numerous smaller hotels, guesthouses and self-catering properties. Several smaller islands are occupied largely or entirely by individual resorts.
Accommodation can be expensive, particularly at upscale resorts and during popular travel periods, but guesthouses and self-catering properties provide more affordable options. Advance booking is advisable, especially around Christmas, New Year and Easter. Visitors must have confirmed accommodation for their stay to meet Seychelles' entry requirements.
Camping
Camping is not an established form of tourist accommodation in Seychelles. Visitors should use licensed accommodation and should not camp on beaches, in nature reserves or on other land without prior permission.
